They’ll need a pillow for the ride home.
Yes, kids can learn to fly fish, often quicker than you think.

Fishing Trip Details:
Yes, we will customize a trip to fit your family. This offering is suitable for younger kids accompanied by adults.
We can put a third seat in the boat so one parent can bring two children.
Our goal here is to have fun. Trout to the net or not, this can be a great experience for your family album.

Family Fly Fishing Trips & Drift Boats
Two people can fish comfortably from the Drift Boat and with three people in the boat, two fish and one sits and has snacks.
Usually, the parent becomes the spectator and cheerleader. Most kids just don’t want to stop fishing once they start! Not to worry, we’ll stop along the way so you can get a few casts in.
Two boats work very well for two parents and two kids. That way, everybody fishes.
Be warned though, when YOU get a Bow River Trout on the line, be ready to hand the fly rod to your child. Peace and Harmony maintained!
We’ve had kids as young as eight casting the fly rod and we have the gear to accommodate smaller hands and make the fly rod comfortable to use.
A big fish on these small rods can get very interesting, very quickly. We spend some time on Fly Casting Lessons and most pick it up within the first 10 minutes.

Not too long, not too short, and with enough activity to keep them interested. Often the day becomes a mix of fly fishing, spin fishing, trying their hand at rowing the boat.
We can adventure on the banks catching Grasshoppers, finding interesting rocks and probably some junk food offerings. (Don’t tell my mom about the junk food)
